Frequently asked questions
Who are Café Tacuba?
Café Tacuba (with "uba," not "uva") is a Mexican alternative rock band formed in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, in 1989. Members: Rubén Albarrán (vocals), Joselo Rangel (guitar), Quique Rangel (bass), and Emmanuel Meme del Real (keyboards). They are considered pioneers of rock en español and a reference point for "chilanga" culture. Their albums Re (1994) and Avalancha de Éxitos (1996) are considered masterpieces of Latin American rock.
What are the most iconic songs?
Their greatest hits include: Eres (1999), La Ingrata (1994), Como te Extraño (1996), El Aparato (1994), Chilanga Banda (1996, originally by Jaime López), El Borrego, Las Persianas, La Locomotora, Esa Noche, and Cosas Imposibles. Their album Re (1994) is considered one of the best in Latin rock history.
Are the shirts officially licensed?
No. They are original fan-art created by LOSMIOS, inspired by Café Tacuba's visual aesthetics, album covers, and "chilango" culture. They are not affiliated with the band, Universal Music, or their label. These are unique pieces that celebrate their legacy in Spanish rock.
What designs does the collection include?
1 design available: cover/iconography inspired by the album Re (1994), considered a masterpiece by the band. The collection is expanding with more references to other iconic albums and songs.
What occasion are they ideal for?
Perfect for Café Tacuba concerts, festivals like Vive Latino, Corona Capital, Rock al Parque, Mexican alternative culture events, and for fans of classic 90s Spanish rock.
What sizes and colors do you carry?
Sizes S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, and 4XL. Main colors: black and white (classic for rock), gray, purple, and combinations that evoke the aesthetic of the album Re and the original Café Tacuba album cover (1992).
Will there be more Café Tacvba designs soon?
Yes, we plan to expand with designs from other albums (Avalancha de Éxitos, Revés/Yo Soy, Sí) and references to its members (Rubén Albarrán, Joselo, Quique, Meme). Subscribe to the newsletter for new drops.
